One of the best books I have ever read!
One of the best books I’ve ever read. Partly because Conscious Breathing is easy to read but also because it covers so many different aspects, and not just lists right off what’s good about breathing but in an in-depth fashion really explains in different parts, exercises, good things to think about. And I also liked that the author brought up examples of what a skeptical person had said, it made me smile because I recognized myself.
I’m one of those that have asthma, allergies, narrow airways and have to take my medication. And I’m a habitual mouth breather, always. I have a friend who knows a lot about breathing, and she had told me about it, but I didn’t really get it….sort of dismising it saying, well, well….but after reading the book, with an open mind, I finally got it.
I feel calmer and more present. Really cool!
I have to add that now, after a few weeks since I read the book, I am so much more aware of my breathing. To start with I found it scary to tape my mouth at night and also while exercising, but I have taken small steps and even though it was hard in the beginning it is so much easier now!
My breathing is now more relaxed and rhythmical. This has made me feel calmer and more present. Really cool! I’ve experienced similar relaxation before when listening to relaxation CD’s, but when I stop listening it feels like there is something missing, and it feels like Conscious Breathing is it, soooo cool!!
